Yosemite National Park

As the summer heat begins to fade, it's time to fire up those V8 engines and prepare for our annual Sonora to Yosemite Autumn Run. This fall, we’re trading the local streets for the winding, scenic curves of Highway 120, taking our Corvettes from the heart of Sonora directly into the granite cathedral of Yosemite National Park. There is no better way to experience the legendary "Big Oak Flat" road than behind the wheel of America’s sports car, feeling every gear shift as we ascend through the crisp Sierra air toward one of the world's most breathtaking natural wonders. The timing of this trip is carefully chosen to capture Yosemite in its most vibrant state. By late October and early November, the park’s bigleaf maples, black oaks, and dogwoods transform into a brilliant kaleidoscope of gold, amber, and deep reds. We’ll cruise past the iconic Tunnel View, where the valley floor glows in warm autumn tones, and make our way to El Capitan Meadow for a group photo against the backdrop of towering granite cliffs and golden grass. With the summer crowds gone and the roads dramatically quieter, we’ll have the perfect opportunity for some "spirited driving" on the open asphalt. This road trip is about more than just the drive; it’s about the camaraderie and shared passion that define our club. We’ve planned a leisurely itinerary that includes a catered picnic at Ahwahnee Meadow and a mid-afternoon "sweet stop" for truffles and coffee at the historic Ahwahnee Hotel. Whether you’re showing off a classic Stingray or a brand-new C8, this is your chance to create "miles of smiles" with fellow enthusiasts against a backdrop that no showroom can match. Dust off your lanyards and prep your roadside kits—this is one autumn adventure you won't want to miss.
